We Had The Pleasure Of Having State Senator MORRIS W. HOOD III As a Guest Reader At O.L. Smith Today!!!

State Senator MORRIS W. HOOD III carved some time out of his busy schedule to be a guest reader at O.L. Smith today!  His book of choice was an inspiring piece titled, “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope”, by Nikki Grimes.  He interacted with the students, he answered questions and he kept the students engaged and interested!!   He also stated that if you have any additional questions or if you need help with your government/social studies reports, his department will be more than happy to help students and teachers out:  senmhood@senate.michigan.gov

Morris Hood’s mother and father instilled in him the importance of integrity. Their values came from his grandfather, Morris Hood, Sr., who fought for working people as a leader in the UAW. As a child, Morris watched his father (Morris Hood, Jr.) and uncle (Raymond Hood, Sr.) make a real difference in the lives of thousands of middle class families across the State by serving in the Michigan Legislature.
