1) Students: All books borrowed from the Media Center need to be returned by Friday,
June 8th. If you have a book fine, please pay it directly to either Ms. Mattern or Ms. Wilcox
in the Media Center. If you misplaced your library book, please contact the ladies in the
Media Center right away and they will work with you to find a solution.

2) Attention all 8th grade students interested in playing soccer at Edsel Ford next
year: The Thunderbird coaching staff will hold an informational meeting after school
June 6th at 3pm in the Smith Atrium for boys and girls soccer players. It’s important to
attend this meeting if you are interested in playing soccer. Don’t miss out!

3) Smith Drama Club presents “The Princess Bride” at 6pm in the Smith Auditorium
tonight and tomorrow. Tickets are $4 per adult, $2 per student at the door. If a $1 box/can
of non-perishable food item is brought in when the ticket is purchased, the ticket price is
reduced by $1.

4) The 8th Grade Farewell Ceremony will be held Wednesday, June 13th at
Edsel Ford High School in the auditorium at 6pm. Refreshments in the
Cafeteria following the program.

5) High school football coaches from EFHS and DHS will be here on Wednesday, June 6th
from 2:35pn-2:55pm to meet with 8th grade students who wish to play football next fall.
Students going to EF students in the fall will meet in room 78; DHS students will meet in the west gym.

8) Current 7th grade students interested in attending the Washington D.C. trip-2019 may sign
up online by going to worldstrides.com/signup and using the Trip ID 161658 or by calling
800-468-5899.

9) With warmer weather coming, students must remember the dress code for our school.
Boys are not permitted to wear sleeveless shirts. Shirts must cover midriff. Shirts must cover bras and bra strap completely. Tank top straps, and all shirt straps must have sleeves that are at least two fingers wide. Shorts and skirts must come no higher than bottom of fingers when arms are extended straight down. No sunglasses, hats or bandannas. All shoes and sandals must back or strap around the heel.
