B-Day

1) Dr. Elder and the NJHS members are offering free tutoring to students who would like a little extra assistance with homework. Meet in room 53 from 3-3:30pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. A schedule is posted outside the counseling office. Students must notify their parents ahead of time they are staying after school.

2) Items remaining in the lost and found area today will be donated to charity.

3) No school for students: Tuesday, November 6th.

4) Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 4th. Turn your clocks back one hour! (Fall back!)

5) Parents interested in volunteering at the Scholastic Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 12th & 14th, please contact our Smith Media Specialist, Ms. Janine Wilcox at wilcoxj@dearbornschools.org or call the main office at 827-2800.

6) Wreaths sold for the PTSA holiday fundraiser to benefit all grades will be delivered theweek of November 5th.

7) Please help support the 8th grade class with their Nov. 6th, Election Day Bake Sale by donating items or volunteering to work the sale. Parents can complete the signup genius form to help! All donated items may be left in the office on Monday, Nov. 5th or
can be dropped off directly at the bake sale table on November 6th between 7:30am-5:00pm.

8) Lifetouch picture retake day is November 7th. Students who missed the picture day in
September may get their picture taken at this time. Order forms are available in the
main office. Those students who would like to have their picture retaken must return
the full original package they received.

9) The PTSA is having a friendly competition between A2 classes. The A2 class who turns in the most PTSA membership registrations with membership payments by November 26th will receive some breakfast goodies.

10) Parents and students are encouraged to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4pm-7pm on Monday, Nov. 12th & Wednesday, Nov. 14th. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during conferences for your convenience.

11) Marking period ends November 2nd. Report cards will be distributed at Parent/Teacher Conferences.

12) Thanksgiving break – Wednesday, Nov. 21st thru Friday, Nov. 23rd – No School.
