A-Day
1) ACCESS is sponsoring Family Night at Smith M.S. with refreshments and fun activities for your entire family! Please plan to attend Wednesday evening, November 28th from 6pm-7:30pm in the gym. For more information, please contact Latefa Hamid at

2) Mandatory Tutoring for students who received a green form already started November 20th and will continue Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday every week from 3-4 pm. Forms must be signed and returned to Ms. Hammoud.
3) The 7th grade pizza party for penny wars will be Friday, Nov. 30th during Flex Time.
4) CORRECTION TO DATE – Wednesday, November 28th: Girls’ swim meet vs. Lowrey @ Smith – 3:30pm
5) Tuesday, November 27th: Boys’ basketball game @ Woodworth – 3:30pm
6) Thursday, November 29th: Boys’ basketball game vs. Bryant @ Smith – 3:30pm
7) Dearborn’s annual Tree Lighting and Sing Along is Monday, Dec. 3
8) Wayne County Vision Examiners will be screening 7th grade students on December 3rd & 4th.
9) Get in the holiday spirit with songs of the season performed by the Smith Instrumental/Band students at the Winter Concert on December 18th at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to attend!
10) Next Late Start Day: Wednesday, December 12th
11) Winter is wonderful and we all enjoy the snow, but the Administrators want to remind all students that throwing snow before and after school is not allowed. The snow must remain on the ground.
12) Students: The colder weather is now upon us. Please remember to dress appropriately with a coat, hat, gloves and boots when needed. According to the Superintendent of Dearborn Schools, students may be outside when the wind chill or temperature is 20° or above. (See Superintendent’s Iblog) Students are allowed to enter school at 7:40am for breakfast or must remain on the blue tiles in the atrium until the
7:50am bell rings if not in the cafeteria.
