B-Day
1) Boys basketball – 3:30pm at Salina – December 4th
2) Girls swim meet vs Woodworth at Smith, December 5th at 3:30pm
3) Wednesday, 12/5/18, DCMST representatives will be in the auditorium at 2pm to speak with the advanced math 7th & 8th grade students.
4) Any Smith students interested in auditioning for the Wizard of Oz play should report to the auditorium on Thursday, Dec. 6th from 3-4:30pm. The make-up day for students who miss the audition days will be Thursday, Dec. 13th. For additional information, please contact Ms. Stacy Greenwell.
5) Wayne County Vision Examiners will be screening all 7th grade students today, December 4th with a few 6th & 8th grade students. Vision screening will be in room 53 and students will either be blue slipped or will attend with their teacher.
6) Get in the holiday spirit with songs of the season performed by the Smith Instrumental/Band students at the Winter Concert on December 18th at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to attend!
7) Next Late Start Day is Wednesday, December 12th.
8) Winter Break: December 24th – January 5th. School resumes on January 7th.
9) Mandatory Tutoring for students who received a green form already started November 20th and will continue Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday every week from 3-4 pm. Forms must be signed and returned to Ms. Hammoud.
10) Additional High School Programs Meeting: There will be a meeting explaining enrollment to alternative high school programs for all 8th grade students on Wednesday, January 30th from 8:30-9:15am. Information about the Dearborn Center for Math, Science, and Technology (DCMST) and the Early College Program will be presented in the auditorium.
