B-Day

1) Valentine’s Day Candy Gram Sale will be before school today, Monday, February 11th for only $2 each. Each candy gram will be delivered
with a large lollipop with your special note. Profits from this sale will benefit the 8th grade fund.

2) Tomorrow is the FIRST home game for our Lady Vikings basketball team! Come out and cheer them on to victory against Stout!. The
Student Council will be there to make sure that you don’t go hungry and the proceeds from this semester’s concession stand will be used to make improvements to our school!

3) 1/2 Day – Thursday, February 14th
No School – Friday, February 15th & Monday, February 18th

4) PTSA Meeting – February 19th at 6:30pm in the Media Center. Everyone is welcome to attend.

5) Volleyball conditioning at Edsel Ford H.S. for 8th grade student will be Tuesday, February 12 from 6-7:30pm and Thursday, February 14th from 7-8:30pm. This conditioning is not mandatory. You do not have to participate in the conditioning if you are already participating in a winter sport. See Ms. Ball for additional information.

6) Change of information: Boys interested in playing football at Edsel Ford H.S. in the fall should attend a meeting in the atrium Wednesday, February 20th at 2:55pm. Coach Mac will be here to pass out informational flyers and have a brief meeting. All potential EFHS football players should attend this meeting.

7) Edsel Ford H.S. counselors/representatives will be speaking to future 9th grade students on February 22nd @ 1:15pm in the auditorium.

8) SURA photography class for students returns on Feb.19th Middle school students can learn photography through a 10-week class
being offered at the Arab American Museum. The class is designed to help students share stories about their lives, community and culture. The
theme for this year is a personal look into what home is. Point and shoot cameras will be provided, but the class will also incorporate smartphone technology. Students’ work will be celebrated in the Museum’s annual Student Photography Exhibition. Contact the Arab American Museum for more information.

9) Representatives from MBCC, Early College and Dual enrollment will speak to 8th grade students today at 8:30am regarding these programs.
