Have a Wonderful Spring Break!

Greetings Vikings!

Spring break is upon us and I want to thank you for your continuous support. I’d also like to thank my staff  for all they do and for not missing a beat-regardless of what happens outside of their doors. A special thanks to the administrative team at the district level – particularly Mr. Mustoneon, Dr. Chochol and Dr. Maleyko for all the support they provide – especially this past week.

More importantly, I am grateful to YOU for always putting your trust in me to do what’s best for O.L.Smith and for your confidence in my leadership. I appreciate all who called, emailed, stopped by and provided positive feedback.

Thanks to our PTSA and all the parents who made our Family Night a huge success.  A special thanks to Ms. Noone (for spending everyday this week running our book fair), Ms. Makled (who organized the book competition- resulting in students discussing books in our halls throughout the day!), Mr. Dobronski and Ms. Ball (for supervising the gym and pool so that our students can have a fun evening) and all the parents who volunteered their time to support the event in various ways. That is in fact the VIKING WAY and  our students are extremely fortunate to have you!

I will leave you with this quote that I also sent to O.L.Smith teachers because I want you to remember that you make a difference everyday. Furthermore, I am a firm believer that it truly takes a village to raise a child.

If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher.

As we embark on spring break,  I hope that you are able to take some time to rest up, relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones. Please take time to do the things that make you happy! Have a FABULOUS and rejuvenating week off and remember that we will return to school on April 8th. Our 8th graders will be taking the PSAT on Tuesday, April 9th. I’m confident that it will be their time to shine. Enjoy the break!
