B-Day
1) M-Step testing for 6th grade students: May 9th make up testing for 6th grade & 7th graders: May 8th & 10th
2) May 10th – Dr. Edler and the Green School Student Committee along with Mr. Baiz and the Garden Club students will be attending the Wayne County’s Michigan Green Schools Recognition Ceremony.
3) Track Meet at Woodworth – Today, May 8th @ 3:30pm.
4) The Athletic Director from Dearborn High School will be in the auditorium speaking with 8th grade DHS bound students on Thursday, May 23rd from 9:25-10:00am regarding playing sports next year.
5) 6th grade orientation is tonight at 6pm.
6) Smith students are invited to apply to Camp RN which is a two week pre-college summer program designed to educate middle school students of the opportunities available through a nursing career. Camp will be held at Oakland University’s main campus in Rochester during the last two weeks of July 2019. This entertaining and educational camp exposes students to various areas, including; anatomy & physiology, chemistry, nutrition, nursing fundamentals, and much more! Camp RN is innovative, inspirational, and sure to create fun memories for 7th & 8th grade students!
Students will be actively engaged in experiments, as well as team building activities and touring Oakland University’s campus. Camp RN is limited to 25 students and campers are selected based on a competitive application process.
