The Smith PTSA is proud to announce the First Annual Geography and Culture Fair which will feature student displays during Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 11th and November 13th from 4-7 pm.
Approximately 70 student 24 Hour World Tour applicants are creating presentations regarding different countries around the world. These students are working very hard outside of their normal classwork time to put together visual display boards and oral presentations. The information the students are researching include the different country’s geography, government & political climate, animals & plants, and culture (including food, etiquette, music, language, holidays, clothing and famous places and people).
Teachers have also generously volunteered to work with, and assist students during their lunch period and after school on their projects. This is a wonderful enrichment activity for our students and school, leading up to our 24 Hour World Tour Skype-A-Thon. Please visit the displays and ask the presenters some questions while you are at Parent/Teacher Conferences either November 11th or 13th from 4-7pm.
