The U.S.D.A. on Monday changed the requirement for student meal distributions, extending a provision that allows free meals to be handed out without verifying student information.

As a result, Dearborn Public Schools will NOT be requiring a student name and ID number at our weekly meal distributions (at least not yet).  We had planned to start gathering that information tomorrow (Sept. 3) at our first distribution of the new school year.  The change also means the meals are available for any student or child under 18.
