What a finish to Semester 1! The Vikings truly finished strong in all aspects of this Semester and are ready to move into Semester 2. Schedules will be distributed Monday Morning in Advisory.

- Cassie Weber and Claire Finkbeiner! Both received a #1 rating for their solo performances today at MSBOA solo and ensemble! Way to represent OL Smith’s Fine Arts! Both of these hardworking students deserve this rating! Not only are they both brave for taking on such a task but incredible musicians who deserve the rating that they received
- Girls Swimming, on BACK TO BACK District Championships
- Academic Games on placing 2nd in the ENTIRE DISTRICT.
- Academic Games Team member: Adam Faran for winning every single round he competed in; the only student in the 130+ students in the district to do so!
- Boys Basketball, on their District Championship
- Our students that GREW in NWEA, thanks to their hard work and DEDICATED teachers!
- Our students that passed the challenging Algebra 1 Midterm, setting them on the road for possible high school credit!

Finally, MAJOR Commendations are in order to Ms. “Math” Laura Savage for not only being a phenomenal math teacher, but saving her student from choking! Using her knowledge of cpr and quick, calm action; she truly saved the day! Thank you Ms. Savage!
