Greeting Vikings!
April Showers bring May flowers, and a lot is blooming our last FULL month of the year! It was an exciting week, which ended a bit soggy with our soccer match vs. Stout. Girls tied 2-2, Boys had a slippery goal scored on them in the closing minutes, losing it close 0-1. It was great practice for much better playing conditions ahead.
Next week, all grades begin M-Step testing on the mornings of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (make-up).
8th Grade Families: Mark Your Calendars: Promotion Ceremony is WEDNESDAY June 14th at Edsel Ford High School. This is the evening of our last full day of school. Dr. Elder sent out details to the 8th grade families.
A final note from our partners, the School Resource Officers of the Dearborn Police Department: More and more new water guns Look Real! With water activities growing as the weather gets warmer, our SRO, Corporal Leto, has informed us that neighboring districts in Wayne County had many close calls in which water guns have been mistaken for real firearms! With colors resembling the real thing, especially at dusk, the Dearborn Police caution our students against having these, especially in public spaces. They definitely have no place at school, but we want to assure our students are safe everywhere throughout our community. Please be very careful!
