For the second quarter, our new theater class focuses on the world of technical theater: all of the design and backstage elements that goes into making a live show come to life. For this first week, students were given a simple prompt: design a bedroom set that could be utilized in a stage production. Along the way, we talked about the importance of selecting the right building materials, accurately measuring, and the importance of safety when using appropriate tools for the job. The end result? Three uniquely different group projects.
