Greetings Vikings,
February is here! The longest month so far this year, yields to the shortest. It will be interesting to see what the U.S.’s favourite forecaster has in store for us on Sunday. For those unfamiliar, on February 2nd, if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow, it will retreat to its den and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow, spring will arrive early. In 2024, an early spring was predicted.
Viking Family reminders:
– Students are not to sell food or items in school. Only school sponsored organizations are permitted to do this to fundraise for the schools, with administration approval.
-We stress the importance of having your valuables with you or locked in your locker. Students like to leave their items on the shelves at lunch, we recommend students not do this and instead hold onto their books, planners, and pencil cases. There are many cases of mistakenly grabbing the wrong items causing delays in students having their materials. The best action is keep it at the lunch table with the student.
