B-Day
Friendly Reminder To Students:
Sliders/Slippers/flip-flops are not to be worn to school. All sandals must have a back strap. Shorts must be fingertip length when arms are resting by your side. Spaghetti straps/strapless tops and sleeveless undershirts are not permitted. Students will be required to call home for a change of clothing for a dress code violation.
1) Track athletes: If you have not returned your track uniform to Mr. Hesch, you must return it before Friday, June 14th in room 30 to receive your report card.
2) Yearbooks for students who purchased a picture packet will be passed out this week. 8th grade students will receive their yearbooks today. 6th & 7th grade students who purchased a picture packet will receive their yearbook on Wednesday. Any questions, please see Ms. Bitar in room 30.
3) Any girl interested in EFHS volleyball please come see Ms. Ball in room 74. Volleyball camp forms are available in the main office.
4) Locker clean out will be TODAY, June 10th during A2. Students report to A2 for attendance as usual, then clean out your locker thoroughly. Students must take home all your belongings at the end of the day from your locker and check the lost and found area for items you are missing. Any item remaining in the lost and found will be donated.
5) The 8th Grade Cedar Point trip will be Tuesday, June 11th. Students must be at Smith no later than 6am. Please remind your parents/guardians the bus returns to Smith between 8-8:30pm. The school is not responsible for any items brought on the trip.
6) Backpacks will not be permitted Thursday, June 13th or Friday, June 14th. On Friday, June 14th students will open their lockers during A2 for teacher inspection. Lockers are to remain open for the day Friday, June 14th. All lockers should be empty.
7) Practice for the 8th Grade Farewell & Promotion Ceremony will take place on Monday, June 10th at 8:30am in the auditorium.
8) Cultural Food Days will be the following days in Ms. J’s room:
Monday, June 10th: 4th Hour
Wednesday, June 12th: 1st Hour (B Day) & 5th Hour
Thursday, June 13th: 3rd Hour
9) Attention all 8th grade hockey players: Head Coach Dallas of the Dearborn Unified H.S. hockey team is holding a level camp starting June 10th for all students who will be in the 9th thru 12th grades next year at either Dearborn High or Edsel Ford HS. All interested hockey players should contact Coach Dallas at dallasb@dearbornschools.org for further information.
10) 6th Grade end of the year field trip to The Adventure Park in West Bloomfield will be June 11th and June 13th.
