The 28th annual Empty Bowls event returns to Dearborn on November 25th. The annual fundraiser offers a simple meal of soup and bread. Visitors are invited to take home an empty, handmade bowl to remind them of those who go hungry every day. Many handmade bowls were crafted by Smith students. Empty Bowls will run from 4 to 6:30pm at Park Place Banquet Hall, 23400 Park St., Dearborn. Money raised will go to “Gleaners Food Bank” and “Blessings in a Backpack”, local charities that help feed those in need.
