In an effort to notify Wayne County families of the FREE Hearing and Vision Screenings available to children ages 3-18, we have attached a flyer for your convenience with additional information.
The ability to hear and see is key to a child’s success in learning as undiagnosed hearing and vision problems may interfere with development. Early detection and treatment of hearing and vision problems can help children succeed in school. Periodic hearing screenings help to identify hearing problems before they affect speech and language development or negatively impact a child’s education. Vision screening programs for children are intended to help identify those children who have or may potentially have a vision problem.
