Greetings Vikings,

What a way to start November! Its unseasonably warm, but we will take it! We love getting outside this late in the Fall.

Halloween seems like a lifetime ago, but I have to hand it to our students, staying Safe, Respectful and Responsible during the PBIS Escape Room Celebration on Halloween. Excellent Job Vikings! Looking back on the past week, we have a lot to celebrate:

PTSA Haunted Carwash had its best turnout so far, with around $6000 being raised for OL Smith Students! Massive Thank You to PTSA, PTSA President Makled, and the numerous business that contributed, especially Mr. Turfe for providing the venue with the Westborn Carwash!
PBIS Escape Room Celebration was a HUGE Success thanks to the efforts of the PBIS Committee and the 95% of students that met our PBIS goal of NO OFFICE REFERRALS!
NJHS Induction Ceremony was once again a wonderful family event. Thank you NJHS Sponsor, Dr. Elder
OL Smith Student Focus group helped the district design a vision for the future of Dearborn Schools. We were one of 4 middle schools selected to take part in the group. Outside contract agency Fielding International reported how impressed they were with our students ideas and how respectful and professional they were in expressing their feedback.
ASD “Summer in Fall” Cookout was a Great Time for all!
