The Last Full Week of May has been completed! A great week to learn was capped off by two enriching experiences: Spring Concert played to a full house Thursday Night and The Graduates of Edsel Ford High School walked the halls of OL Smith one last time before graduating from the Dearborn Public Schools, to be clapped out by our Vikings! Once a Viking, Always a Viking. We have an exciting shortened week ahead, with Ice Cream, Spirit Week, Dancing and NWEA Math Testing:

- On May 25th, the O.L. Smith Student Council is sponsoring an after school dance. The dance is from 3:30-5:00 in the Smith Cafeteria. We need your help to chaperone in order to make this a successful event for our students. If you are able to help out with this event, please email Mr. Radcliffe at radclij@dearbornschools.org.
- The Final Testing for Year:
- NWEA Math and ELA will take place in content area classes.
- Math will start on Tuesday May 23rd
- ELA will start on Tuesday May 30th
- PLEASE do your best to avoid absences these days, as the make-up process is difficult.
- Friday, June 2nd, from 4pm-10pm: 8th Grade Class Trip is Coming, based on student survey interest: to Tree Runners.
- Bus will depart from OL Smith and Return Students to Smith by 10pm.
- Money and Permission Slips are Due to Ms. Sisty or Ms. Sharkey Woods no later than THURSDAY 5/24:
- 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony: 6pm, June 14th, at Edsel Ford High School
- MHSAA Athletic Physical — As a reminder, athletes will need a 2022-23 MHSAA Athletic Physical before participating in a 2022-23 sport.
