Greetings Vikings
It was another exciting week of learning, started by a surprise School Improvement Visit from our Superintendent, Dr. Maleyko, and district Administration. This initiative is part of the district’s strategic plan and help us get feedback on our teaching practices, school culture, and safety-security. The district team was very impressed and had an overwhelmingly positive visit, affirming what we already know: OL Smith is great because of the amazing students, families, and staff that make it everything it is. We are excited to use their observations to continue to improve.
Our students did a fabulous job taking the State of Michigan M-Step Suite of Assessments this week. Their commitment to doing their best will be reflected in the results and will also be used as a tool for us as a teaching team to better serve our students.
Finally, we are excited for the week ahead, especially because we get to celebrate the ones that make all professions possible: Our Teachers!
HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK TO OUR VIKING TEACHERS!
