The Vikings Club’s “Viking Talk” on career readiness, professionalism and reputation credibility w/ Principal Fisher and Officer Zubok (School Resource Officer: Dearborn Police Department)

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016 (After-school), Officer Zubok and I had a great meeting with our male leadership program: The Vikings Club. The day’s “Viking Talk” focused on career readiness, importance of professionalism and reputation/ credibility. Also, we discussed our boy’s experiences with attending last week’s 8th grade field trip to The National College Fair in Novi, MI. The young men gleaned a great deal of valuable information and insight from speaking with the various college/ university and skilled trade school representatives.

The Viking Club’s attendance and membership is growing by a few students each week. The Vikings Club is a male leadership program focused on developing career readiness and character education. We are currently looking for any male parents/ guardians or community members wishing to volunteer as a co-facilitators for our Wednesday “Viking Talks”. The club usually meets during 8th lunch on Mondays and immediately after-school on Wednesdays in the media center or main office conference room for our “Viking Talks”.
