Good morning Parents,
At approximately 7:40 AM today we evacuated bus 641 at the south bound corner of Telegraph / Ann Arbor Rd. This bus was transporting O.L. Smith students to school. The driver called in on the radio that she was seeing smoke coming from the engine compartment. We treated the situation as if the bus was on fire and dispatched fire, police and rescue to the scene. Fortunately the bus was not on fire and no students were injured. The bus experienced a radiator hose that sprung a coolant leak which created the smoke. Another bus was dispatched to the scene and took the students to school. Students made it to their first hour class.
