A-Day
1) Report cards will be available to pick up today and Tuesday between 4pm – 7pm during
Parent/Teacher Conferences. All students, parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
2) Any boy (6th,7th,or 8th) interested in trying out for basketball should sign up under
their grade level on the sheets posted outside of Mr. Wellman’s room. Room 11. Tryouts are Wednesday, November 15th right after school. Please SIGN UP before the end of today!
3) Late Start – Wednesday, Nov. 15th.
4) The Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, November 13 thru Friday, November 17th in the
Media Center from 1pm-3pm for students to purchase items. The Book Fair will also be open to
purchase items during Parent/Teacher Conferences from 4pm-7pm, today and Tuesday.
5) Smith vs Bryant Challenge!
O.L. Smith is building a Holiday Tree of Hope in the Atrium of: can/boxed items, health, beauty, hygiene, gloves, hats, socks, or an everyday item.
Check out the “wish list” outside the counseling office.
*NJHS members will collect/count them in Advisory, then build a tree of hope in the “atrium”
*Not only are you helping other people during the holidays but you are making yourself feel
good when doing this.
*We do this because not everyone is fortunate like us with a home or daily meal.

6) The 26th Annual Empty Bowls Dinner, Monday, Nov. 20th from 4pm-6:30pm at Park Place
Banquet Hall. Soup and bread will be served. For every $5 donation, you will receive a beautiful
handmade bowl.
