On Dec. 5, a number of students participated after school in Smith’s first “Hour of Code,” held the first week of December worldwide, intended to expose students to the world of computer science and let everyone try out computer programming in an easy to understand way that would hopefully ignite student interest in computer coding. The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries.
