Greetings Vikings!
It is my pleasure to be working with you all on an interim basis as your student council supervisor. There are wonderful things happening here at Smith; and if my conversations with just a few of our student council officers are any indication of the creative ideas you all have, even bigger and better things are on the horizon!
I have had the pleasure to facilitate student leadership in the past with the Henry Ford Early College High School, as student council supervisor from 2008-2016. At the Early College, I was fortunate enough to be part of building the program from its beginnings. Though we are not starting a new student council chapter here at Smith, I do see some promising similarities:
- Talented, Visionary Student Leadership
- Involved, Motivated families
- Shared Pride in our learning community
- Eagerness in building a new era in student leadership
- Big Hearts looking to Serve and give to back the community
- True Optimism in a team of students that want to make their world better
Again, I am very excited to be joining the student council to empower and grow O. L. Smith Viking Leaders! I look forward to learning and working together for the continuous improvement of our awesome community!
