1) Students: Backpacks and sling packs are not to be worn in the halls or taken to classrooms. All backpacks and sling packs must be kept in your locker.
2) Teachers help students topple obstacles and give students the tools to achieve their Dreams. Michigan State Senator, Morris W. Hood III, would like to invite students, parents, and staff to participate in a “Thank a Teacher” initiative to recognize and acknowledge the top-notch educators we have here at O.L.Smith. Simply go to www.teachersformichigan.com to submit a “Thank You” card telling Senator Hood who your favorite teacher is and why she/he is the best. Senator Hood will highlight your nominated teachers on his Facebook page,https://www.facebook.com/MorrisHood/ each week.
3) PTSA is sponsoring a Smith School Skate Party on Tuesday, May 22nd from 6pm-8pm at the Lincoln Park Skating Center. Admission is only $8 and includes your skate rental. Rollerblades and in-line skates are an additional $2 more. Hope you can join in the fun!
4) Everyone is welcome to attend the Smith Band Concert tonight from 6:30-7:30 in the auditorium.
