B-Day
Late Start Day: Wednesday, December 12th
1) Students: If you come late to school, you must stop in the main office and fill out a tardy pass before going to your class or you will be considered skipping.
2) Don’t forget to come out and cheer on our Vikings at tomorrow’s basketball game and while you’re there, stop by the Student Council concession stand to purchase your snacks!
3) The 7th grade class of 2019-2020 is sponsoring a school skate party on Sunday, Dec. 30th at the Lincoln Park Skating Center from 6pm-8:pm. Admission is $8 per person and includes your skate rental. Parents are welcome to stay and join in the fun, or must pick up their child promptly at 8pm. 4) Puppies & Purr Club will now hold meetings on Wednesdays from 3-3:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
5) The next PTSA meeting will be December 11th @ 6:30pm in the Media Center. Everyone is welcome to attend.
6) Get in the holiday spirit with songs of the season performed by the Smith Instrumental/Band students at the Winter Concert on December 18th at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to attend!
7) Winter Break: December 24th – January 5th. School resumes January 7th.
8) Mandatory Tutoring for students who received a green form already started November 20th and will continue Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday every week from 3-4 pm. Forms must be signed and returned to Ms. Hammoud.
9) A meeting for additional High School Programs: There will be a meeting explaining enrollment to alternative high school programs for all 8th grade students on Wednesday, January 30th from 8:30-9:15am. Information about the Dearborn Center for Math, Science, and Technology (DCMST) and the Early College Program will be presented in the auditorium.
